FAQ

Questions, Questions....

The Official Steenkamp Information Station

Because “just meet us at the beach” sounds romantic… until the questions start rolling in.

What time? What do I wear? Can I bring someone?
Will my heels survive? And, most importantly…
will there be a bar?

Before you arrive barefoot, overdressed or mildly confused,
we’ve gathered all the important bits and bobs below.

THE IMPORTANT BITS

When and where is the wedding?
It’s all happening on Friday, 24 September 2027 at: Grootvlei, Lamberts Bay
The ceremony starts at 15:00.

For the exact pin, directions and all the getting-there details, head over to our Travel page or click on the button below

What time should I arrive?
The ceremony starts at 15:00, but fashionably late is not the vibe for this one.
Please arrive by 14:30 so you have plenty of time to find your seat and get settled before we make things official.

What should I wear?
We’re going semi-formal — think dressed up and looking fabulous, but still ready for a celebration by the beach.
Not quite sure what that looks like? We’ve put together a little inspiration for you.

Can I wear heels?
You absolutely can, but your stilettos may have opinions about the terrain.
Block heels, wedges or stylish flats will probably make your life a whole lot easier and your feet will thank you when the dancing starts.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
We are celebrating on the West Coast, so keep the beach setting and the possibility of a little breeze in mind when planning your outfit.

Can I bring a plus-one?
As much as we’d love to have absolutely everyone there, we’re keeping our celebration to the lovely people named on your invitation.
If their name is on it, they’re invited. If it isn’t, we’ll have to catch them for a drink another time.

Are children invited?
We love your little humans, but #DieSteenkampTroue will be an adults-only celebration.
Consider this your official permission slip to enjoy a well-deserved night off or even a whole weekend!

When do I need to RSVP?
Please send us your YES! (or your very sad no) by: 30 April 2027
The sooner we know, the sooner we can make sure there’s enough food, drinks and room on the dance floor.

What about dietary requirements?
We want everyone well-fed and happy!
Please let us know about any allergies or dietary requirements when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure the right people know.

What if I’ve already RSVPed but can no longer attend?
We’ll be very sad, obviously, but we understand that sometimes life happens.

Please let Elizma or Jeandri know as soon as possible so we can update our plans.
Elizma: 072 366 2384
Jeandri: 079 654 7656

Planes, cars and getting our favourite people to the beach we’ve got you covered.

Our lovely travel-agent friend Mirinda Bosman can help you with the travel arrangements, and we’ve put the important destination information together on our Travel page.

Where should I stay?
Making a weekend of it? Excellent decision.
We’ve put all the accommodation information in one place, head over to our Travel page for the details.

Will there be a bar?

We knew you’d ask.
Yes! A cash bar will be available to keep everyone suitably refreshed.
Please note that no outside drinks may be brought into the venue, so leave the cooler box at home and let the bar take care of you.

Do I have to attend the entire weekend?
Not at all!

Friday is the big one — the day we officially become Mr & Mrs Steenkamp — and having you there means the world to us.
The rest of the weekend is there for those joining us for the full celebration. Come for what applies to you, stay for the memories!
For the full line-up, head to The Weekend page.

Can we take photographs during the ceremony?
For the ceremony, phones down and eyes up, please.
We’ve paid a very talented photographer to capture the important bits,
so we’d love for you to be completely present with us while we say
“I do.”
Once the ceremony is over, you can get those cameras back out!

Can we post photographs online?
Please do!
Make us famous, make us fabulous and let us relive the day through your photos.
Selfies, happy faces and photographic evidence of questionable dance moves are all encouraged. Just remember to use our official wedding hashtag:
#DieSteenkampTroue

What about wedding gifts?
Honestly, having you there to celebrate with us is more than enough.
As my sister so kindly pointed out, we already have enough things in our house. Apparently.
So please don’t feel like you need to bring us a gift. If you really, really insist on spoiling us, a contribution towards OUR NEXT ADVENTURE would be very much appreciated.

But truly — your presence is the present.

Who do I contact if I still have a question?
We’ve covered outfits, heels, parking, presents and — most importantly — the bar.
But if we’ve somehow missed something, give one of these lovely ladies a shout:

Elizma — The Bride
072 366 2384
Jeandri — Maid of Honour
079 654 7656

They’ll point you in the right direction.
